Hi all,
Is there any .NET way (I am not rulling out API usage) to add button(s) to a
form's title bar?
I found some non-.NET solutions that did actually work in VB6 but not in the
..NET forms...
I tried painting, but the paintaing area provided by the form is only the
client area - no visible way to paint on the title bar.

when multiple similar forms are opened up, windows xp can group them into an
application group button on the start bar.
Unfortunately, this application group uses the icon of the application's
executable, and not the icon that has been specified by form.

HOw do i a add more then on icon or grachic file to a vb.net application. i
want to have more then one icon to choice from. i have seen some VB app that
have this function or it has all the graphic file for that application, when
you go to the change Icon option.

I have created a derived version of a normal form, e.g. called MyForm
(public class MyForm : System.Windows.Forms.Form). The form is simply
specifing a standard icon that we use within the company. This fairly
straight forward and not a problem. We have planed to use this form as
the base form to all other forms in our application.

Hi
I have an application, that when a user double clicks a file (that the
application creates), the application opens. When the user right
clicks a file and selects "Open With", the program icon shows up in
the list but the program name is not there (next to the icon). Does
anyone know how to make sure that not only the program icon shows up
but the program name text as well?

I'd like to add an icon to my application's titlebar (to the left of the
minimize icon). And no, it will not be the icon to minimize application to
tray ;)
Nevertheless, I don't have a clue where to start (I'm kinda new to this).

I have a Windows application that previously had the company logo
"MyCompany.ico" added to the upper left-most corner. The company has since
issued a new version of "MyCompany.ico" that looks completely different.
I overwrote the old ico file with the new ico file and re-ran the program. I
still see the old logo at run-time.
I right-clicked the project-> Add Existing Item-> added the new ico file. I
set the build action to Embedded...

Hello
I added some icons to an imagelist. I checked first the image size and
image depth and adjusted the settings according in the imagelist before
adding the icon. The icon still gets distorted when I use it in the
application (Treeview).
What could cause the distortion of the icon. Did I miss some settings.

I want to add several icons to my dll, so that it can be used by

I'm using VS2005, but I cannot seem to find out how to do this.
I can get one single visible icon by setting the application icon, but
that does not do it. I need to set serveral icons.
