Hi.
I just installed the latest visual studio .NET 2003 and am doing some c#
work. Its just a standard windows forms program, not an asp or web thing.
I have been able to use a DataGrid ok, except this version of DataGrid
doesnt seem to have a SelectedItem member.
Additionally there is no DataGridItem class either.

We ahve a .NET web page that we dynamically create a bunch of DataGrids and
add them to a place holder. When the user hits submit we need to go through
all of the DataGrids to get some data. We can't seem to find the grids on
the post back, the PlaceHolder.Controls.Count is 0. How do we get that data
back.

Hi all,
I have a datagrid and a drop down list on my page.
The DataGrid is created dynamically at runtime to contain columns based on
the item that the user has selected from the drop down list. Some of the
columns need to be a ButtonColumn so that the user can click on them to be
taken to another page. This "click" is handled by the ItemCommand" event of
the datagrid.

Hello.
I'm developing and testing a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET
Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1 on a WIN XP Pro, SP2
computer. I'm using a web form.
For a datagrid control, i used the Caption property. It displays fine on
the datagrid and allows me to run the program.

Hi,
I've just add a couple of dropdowns to my ASP form, set up a
sqldatasource and bound to the dropdown and it all works great.
I want the first item of the dropdown to be blank soa fter reading a few
articles the DropDownList1.SelectedIndex = -1 seems the way to go.
I've tried setting this oin the asp page and on a page load event in the
vb behind but I still cant get a blank dropdown

I had to repost this because I had to update and change my msdn alias. I
will re-ask the question and clarify a few things that were not clear
before.
This code is all executed on my dev machine running winXP sp2 and VS2005.
I'm using a c# 2.0 winforms app which talks to a c#2.0 asp.net app that also
contains 1 web service. Note: the webpage and web service are located side
by side in the same web app.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
