VB.net 2003 online help

I've just bought the VB.net2003 deluxe learning edition,
whicn includes vb.net2003 standard and the step by step
book.

great, but there doesn't appear to be ANY online help
installed whatsoever, and i can't find any on the 3 cd's
that were in the package (vb.net standard, vs.net
prerequisites, vb.net step by step).

The only way I can see of getting any kind of searchable
help file is to pay another £200 for an MSDN
subscription, which seems crazy. The software and book
cost £90, and I just find it hard to believe that a
LEARNING edition wouldn't contain any helpfiles.

I'm hoping that someone can tell me it's all my fault and
that i've missed something...

Just installed 2003 and the help file sucks because it tries to connect to Microsoft Online Help which takes too long. When I run Access and I'm not connected to the internet, it seems to connect to the locally stored help files. How can I turn off the online help and just access the locally stored help files?

I have a client who is using Access 2002/2000 (the database itself is written in 2000), and is considering migrating to Access 2003. Any recommendations on whether Access 2003 is worth the migrate, or should he stick with 2002? Thanks! Neil

I recently started using Access 2003 for the first time. I wanted to pass on some comments about the Help system to Access MVPs who frequent this board. I'm doing this in the hope that some of what I say may be passed on to Microsoft. Microsoft has implemented a combination local and web based help system in Access 2003. The local Help...

Hello everybody, I wrote this comment in another message of mine, but decided to post it again as a standalone message. I think that Microsoft's Office 2003 help system is horrible, probably the worst I ever seen. I almost cannot find anything I need, including things I

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
