Hello,
I am trying to build a Crystal report VisualStudio.NET for an ASP.NET
application. I would like to build a report that doesn't connect to
any particular database at design time because I am planning to pass a
dataset to the report at runtime. From what I have read, it sounds
like unbound fields might be the answer. However, I am having trouble
figuring out how to bind these unbound fields to my dataset at
runtime.

Help....
I've created an ADO.NET dataset in Visual Studio (a web
project). I build the project and then try to create a
Crystal Report using the dataset.
When I try to use the ADO.NET dataset in Crystal Report
(selected from Project Data) by double clicking the
dataset name (yes, it does at least show up) I get a
consistent error: Logon failed. Details: Object reference

I need your HELP!
I've seen all the posts on using Crystal Reports within vs.net (vb.net)
and changing a SQL query at runtime. When I tried to pass in a dataset
into the crystal report at runtime, the report still showed the results
from the default query (from within the Crystal Report).
Then I tried the XSD solution where you define a dataset (that mataches
the database and the Crystal Report) and have the Crystal Report use

Hi,
I am trying to sort the data in my crystal report at runtime. The
problem is that i can only query the database once and that is at the
loading of the report. At that time i fill up my dataset. Afterwards
when the sorted data is required, i use the Dataview's sort method and
sort the data. This sorted data is perfectly shown in the datagrid. Now
i want this data to be shown in my crystal report object too. Its not
working!!!

hi,
I'm using Crystal reports to generate a simple report in a VB.net windows
application, I've defined all my stuffs (accessMDB,query, 2 parameters) in
the report design, and it's working fine, when a report is opened it prompts
me to input the parameters values .
But, in order to incorporate this report to my application, I have 3
quetions:
1- How can I send the parameters from my form directly (so there will be no
prompt)?

It's my first project using the Crystal report.
I created a report with the report designer
and linked it to a web form as:
1. put CrystalReportViewer in my page (its ID: Viewer).
2. put ReportDocument component from Toolbox | Components (its Name: Report)
and specified my existing report class (myproject.import.reports.shiporder).
3. in DataBinding of above viewer, I choosed Simple binding and selected
my report.
4. on Page_Load event...
