I have a Web form with a hidden text-box that contain XML
data.
When the application has been compiled and run at visual
studio 2002, I could reach the XML data and all worked
fine.
Under the new version(vs 2003) I got this error:
Server error about a potentially dangerous Requset.Form
value from client.
(I think it's a new security level)

Just installed VS2003 and tried a hello world app. Getting 404 error even
when I explictly specify the start page in the url.
In IIS Mgr (v 5.1), App has .aspx mapped to
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll.
The file in question IS in the virtual directory and this is the inetmgr log
file entry that occurs when my browser requests the page: 19:42:27 127.0.0.1

After I set my <%@ page ValidateRequest="false" %> , I still get the
error illustrated below. The msdn mentioned something about filtering

When a user of our ASP.NET 1.1 application submits a form with the phrase
'manuscript:' in a text field, ASP returns the error 'A potentially
dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client
(182:BodyField="manuscript: hello").' Why is this seemingly innocent text
triggering this error?

Hi. I have created a web-based "file manager", for remote-administration of
a web-site. It works okay.
The "main" form in the "file manager" is BrowseFiles.aspx. I can edit the
text files (among which the "js" files) by clicking on an achor which
redirects me to "edit.aspx".
Once in "edit.aspx", after I view a ".js" file, for instance, I click on the

In VS 2005 Form files are in 3 parts : From1.cs, Form1.Designer.cs and
Form1.resx.
In VS 2003 there is only one ".cs files".
How can I split my old VS2003 ".cs files" files in 2 files : From.cs and
Form.Designer.cs, and get thoses file "grouped" in the Solution explorer
under the main Form.cs file ?

I have VB code in VS2003 which creates a HttpWebRequest and performs a POST
operation to a remote URL (an https site), which runs fine and receives a
valid response.
However exactly the same code in VS2005 (to the same site with the same
data) causes an exception 'The underlying connection was closed: An
unexpected error occurred on a send.'
Any ideas as to why and what I can do to get around this?

With VS2005 the windows form designer uses the files *.Designer.vb
I hope no one at MS is reading this because I know it will upset them to
know - I like the old way better!
I've been looking at the Options available for the Windows Form Designer and
do not see one that would give me the older method.
Is there such an option?
