Does anyone have a suggestion how I could debug this
problem:
1. Data is collected from database and displayed in a form.
2. User updates data and submits it.
3. Submitted data is compared with old data.
4. SQL is generated for changes and put into an array.
5. SQL in the array is executed line by line.
I've copied the code which does the update from a working

G'day. Slight problem that has me perplexed.
We have an ASP app running on Win2K IIS 5.1, devloped on WinXPpro.
Up until the other day, the app worked without problems.
Now, the app hangs on an FSO request. I've inlcuded the relevant code below
for referrence.
Basically, the code will check to see if a dir exists (CALLOUT 1), then

Below you'll find the code i'm working on.
It's in a button click routine and hangs after 3 or 4 sometimes 5 loops
done, probably in sock.receive(....).
Some code was found here( on google i mean) but the amazing( at least for
me) is that if i run the program step by step or i cancel the loop and run
it by pressing the button again and again it never hangs .
I want to have an infinite loop so my socket keeps on listening until i...

It appears that IIS hangs the first time two requests are made for same page
in quick succession. Although it may very well be something else I'm doing
wrong.
I have a page (ViewDocument.aspx) that dynamically generates one or more
image tags. The source attribute of the image tag is another page
(ViewImage.aspx) that simply writes the image data to the response.
When I load ViewDocument.aspx for the first time, everything is fine as...

Hi,
I am trying to call a function in my web page, asynchronously, to improve
performance. I am using a function delegate to do that. I have a web page.
When the user clicks a button, i want to execute this function
asynchronously and in the meantime move on to other tasks. At the very end,
i call EndInvoke. Problem is if i disrupt this process by closing the
browser Visual Studio "freezes" and won't become active until after some
time....

Hello,
I have a VB.Net component that uses the XslTransform object. I am using
the FXSL randomizeList function in my XSL template. When I transform
the XML in the VB.Net component, my application hangs. When I load the
XML
in a browser with a reference to the XSL template, it works fine.
Here is my XML:

Hi all,
I have a consistent test case where os.popen3() hangs in Windows. The
system hangs when retrieving the lines from the child process stdout.
I know there were several reports related to os.popen3() hanging under
Windows in this group before.
I stumbled on a case where a piece of code works in some occasions and
hangs consistently given different data. It performs exactly the same
on 3 different computers running Windows:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
