Dear all,
I am running an online file management server that allows web clients to
upload files from a webform to the web server.
Using the code
"filename.PostedFile.SaveAs(fullPath);"
I have no problem uploading file with size up to 25MB, but the page starts
to create problem with any size above 25 MB - the error message displayed is
"Server Unavailable" or occasionally it just dies off.

I have created an IHttpHandler that waits for uploads as attachments for a
webmail interface, and saves it to a directory that is defined in
config.xml.
My question is the following:
assuming that this is suppossed to end up as a component for others to use,
and therefore I do NOT have access to their global.cs::Session_End()
how do I cleanup files that were uploaded -- but obviously left stranded
when the users aborted/gave up writting...

I use the session_end in global.asax to perform clean-up of a temporary
shopping cart table. Shoppping Cart items are stored with a session id in
the table, and when a session ends a small rountine checks the shopping cart
table and deletes any stray items.
This has worked a treat for weeks but stopped working today when I uploaded
news dlls and aspx pages to the live server using FTP.
Nothing has changed code-wise and all relevant...

the uploading part is running successfully but the problem arises in the
retriving part of the code.

I have a rather simple project with several ASPX files. If I make a change
to one of the files, can someone tell me the least I need to do to update my
project on the server.
Right now I am rebuiding the entire project, copying the to a directory and
uploading all the files required to run the app to the server.

my version 7.4 database. I am uploading several thousands records in the
database at a rate of ~1 second per record (the data is uploading from a
different server). I have noticed that the performance of the uploading is

my app was working fine in VB.NET 2003 (and framework 1.1). Now with
VB.NET 2005 (framework 2.0) the uploading to an http server (ie.
www.sharebigfile.com) stops with the error "The request was aborted:
The request was canceled" after about 7 MB.
For example, I might be uploading a 73MB file. After about 11% done the
upload aborts. :shake:
It works great for files < 5MB. I can upload those every time.
