Hi,
I understand that there are 3 modes in which I can
configure the SessionStateModule. What I need is an out of
process Session State store with fail over support.
The "SQL Server Mode" seems to be it, but I heard there is
quite a bit of degradation in performance for using this
mode. My next option is the "State Server Mode". However,
this mode does not give me the fail over support. Is there
anything that I can do the enhance the...

Ok, I know that .net inherently does not share session data across asp.net
projects, but is there any decent work around to this.
We already have a big chunk of our application using the asp.net session
object (using state service). I'd like to start breaking out
our functionality into component projects, but I'd like to get this session
issue worked out first.
Any ideas??
I found this article , but it sounds like kind of a pain.

Hi
When I set Session state mode to StateServer (IIS 6.0; windows2003; .NET
2.0) in my application, I have recived this message:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unable to make the session state request to the session state server. Please
ensure that the ASP.NET State service is started and that the client and
server ports are the same. If the server is on a...

Has anyone encountered the error as follows:
"The page requires session state that is no longer available. Either the
session has expired, the client did not send a valid session cookie, or the
session state history size is too small. Try increasing the history size or
session expiry limit. "
Our mobile web application runs perfectly on asp.net 1.1 on top of
iis6/w2k03...We then decided to migrate to asp.net 2.0, recompiled and...

Hi,
I've got a problem with losing session state in ASP.NET version 2.
It does it intermittently - sometimes it tanks - and sometimes it works OK.
I've got the ASP.NET state service started - the separate process for state management:

StateServer mode stores session state in a process, referred to as the ASP.NET
state service, that is separate...

Hi
I've been experimenting with managing state using the Session object. I've
created a simple WS with a couple of methods, one which sets a string
value, another that retrieves it.
Each method has the WebMethodAttribute.EnableSession set to true.
When I run the test page the session is maintained. However, using a
console application, in between setting the string value and attempting to

Hi All,
I am using asp.net session state service to store session.
The concurrent online user will be almost 2000.
Could asp.net session state service afford this?
Is there any limitation about asp.net session state service?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
