I've got two web services that use the same data types and that
clients will have to consume. I read the msdn article on sharing types
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnservice/html/service07162002.asp)
but I don't want clients to have to add two web references and then
manually have to edit the proxy classes. After doing some searching I
found that putting references to multiple web services in a .disco...

Hi,
I'm looking for some good examples that illustrate how to code a web service
that exposes a custom collection so that the properties of the collection are
accessible on the client without having to do a httpwebreqeust call.

Hi all,
I am trying to consuming a .NET web service from a standard (classic) ASP
page. I have come across a few articles which describe that it can be done
as follows (after installing the Soap Toolkit 2.0):

Hi, I'm using this article by Matt Powell to create an asynchronous server
side web method.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/webservices/webservices/building/frameworkandstudio/tipstricks/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnservice/html/service10012002.asp
The issue I have is that the method I'm creating has two 'out' parameters.
When I run my web service, I get an error stating that the parameters for the
Begin method must be input-only...

Hi,
First a brief description of out application:
We have a webapplication which calls a couple of webservices during one
request (postback). These calls to the webservices are made concurrent using
asynchronous webservices calls. The number of webservices called concurrent
is between 1 and 18.
The webservice calls are made using SSL with a X509 clientcertificate.
The application is underhigh load

I'm developing WinForms application in .NET 2.0 that talks to web
service. The automatically generated proxy (reference class) has got
methods for both synchronous and asynchronous invocations of the web
service methods. What I like about the asynchronous calls that they
use events. So when I call the web service operation is finished is
fires the event. So all my objects that I'm using in my client
application just subscribe to whatever...

Hi All,
I've been struggling with this issue for a while. I am using the autogenerated code from Excel VBA to consume a web service which takes as input a complex type and returns a complex type. I keep getting the following error
Generic Custom Type Mapper:Element RequestKey could not be saved while saving type ItemRequest HRESULT=0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect.
I just can't figure out what's wrong. Can anyone help?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
