Hi All
One of my VarChar fields in my MySQL DB isn't big enough so I need to expand
it. In light of this, could you please answer these queries:
1) How do I expand the size of the field without affecting the actual data
inside the field?
2) As I like to try and keep things as tight as possible in the DB, is there
any REAL differences between changing my VarChar field from it's current

Hi,
I need to be able to split large string variables into an array of
lines, each line can be no longer than 70 chars.
The string variables are text, so I would additionally like the lines
to end at the end of a word, if you catch my drift.
For example, I have a large string variable containing the text:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire

Hello,
I have built a "contact us" form on my Web site and am using the PHP
mail() function to send an e-mail to the Webmaster (that's me :-))
Everything works fine. What I would like to know however is whether it
is always necessary to limit each line of the message to 70 characters,
as is written in the documentation of the function (writing for
instance $this->message = wordwrap($message, 70)).
It seems to work fine without doing it...

I'm using PHP version 4.4.3.
The manual page for PHP's mail() function (URL below) says that for the
message (IE. email body) "Each line should be separated with a LF (\n).
Lines should not be larger than 70 characters."
http://uk2.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php
To see what happened I just sent an email using mail() with one of its
lines exactly 100 chars. It was sent perfectly by sendmail as a line of

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
