I tried to adapt the instructions for building the M2Crypto module
(http://sandbox.rulemaker.net/ngps/m2/INSTALL.html) to build a version
compatible with Python2.3, but I've had some mixed results. I actually got

I am trying to build the boost 1.31.0 sample extension hello.cpp.
I can not compile the file inheritance.cpp because the two
files containing some templates: adjacency_list.hpp and mem_fn.hpp can
not compile.

I'm getting the following error when I build a Class Library project:
Embedding manifest...
Project : error PRJ0002 : Error result 1 returned from
'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe'.
It happens with every the of C++ project I try to build. Not just Class
Libraries, but a plain Windows Form Application as well.
I've tried creating new projects with nothing but shell built by the Wizard,
but I still get the error.

Hi,
I need to read specific lines of huge text files. Each time, I know
exactly which line(s) I want to read. readlines() or readline() in a
loop is just too slow. Since different lines have different size, I
cannot use seek(). So I am thinking of building an index for the file
for fast access. Can anybody give me some tips on how to do this in
Python? Thanks.
