visual studio express versions on CD or DVD?

I only have a dialup connection and I was wondering if someone knows
where I can buy the CD or DVD with the new Visual Studio Express
versions. I would download them, but it would take weeks at dialup
speed to download them all.

Well, the visual studio beta can be ordered here in the US also, but I
was referring to the stand alone express versions. Thanks anyway.

There seems to be a lot of confusion on the versions of Visual Studio 2005. My latest blog entry covers the different versions: Main URL: http://spaces.msn.com/members/gregorybeamer/Blog/cns!1ptsyfBgfiUmsaQCul95SOyg!141.entry If the above URL wraps and you want a shorter URL for the entry: http://tinyurl.com/9yxbs --

When compiling my solution which contains 15 projects (2 Window Apps, 2 Services, 11 class libraries, C#, MC++, & C++), I was receiving warnings about symbols defined in multiple places. I had always assumed that rebuild meant starting over, recompiling all code, and linking with the...

I have ASP.NET websites deployed on a number of servers. Thee were developed with Visual Studio 2003. Is it true that Visual Studio 2005 only supports .NET Framework 2.0 and I will be required to have Visual Studio 2005 for those ASP.NET websites and Visual Studio 2003 for my currently deployed websites? Is there a summary document listing what is provided in Visual Studio 2005? Apparently there is support for .NET Framework 1 and 2,...

Hi there, I am a MS Access VBA programmer trying to get my feet wet using VB.net / SQL server. I have SLQ 2000/visual studio 2003 loaded and did get a SQL2005/visual studio 2005 software through the MS launch. I am now wondering how to setup my laptop so I can use theh two sets together (not at the same time of course). I have also been told there might be issues of interaction between framework

Which edition of Visual Studio do I have? "About" says that I have Visual Studio 8.0.5.0727.42: is this the professional, express, or enterprise edition? I do not believe it is the Team edition. I am trying to use "Attach to Your Form for Debugging" to attach to a process and the "Attach" button is grayed out. Help says that the "Attach to Your Form for Debugging" is not available in the Express Edition. Could this be my issue?...

I'm new to c# and Visual C# Express, and to normal programming in general (some background in web programming), and i have a question vital to my current project. Basically, i have been asked to learn how to create new extensions for a web application, and turns out that i need to use Visual Studio and IIS together to do this. One of the first steps is to create a web service from within Visual Studio, using the ASP.NET Web Service...

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer. I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer. Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
