Using VB .Net 2003 Standard Edition.
This simple form has a "File in Use" problem while the executable is running.
Created this simple program to make sure that I hadn't done something in my
code in the "real" project.
In the "real" project, One part of the program saves multiple images and
another part of the program moves the images to the appropriate directories
based on user feedback.

I have an Image. I want to clip a portion of it and copy to another image.
How to do this? I know the bounding rectangle to clip.

Here is what I'm trying to do:
I have created a UserControl named PictureView. It holds all the images
in one directory in the Bitmap images variable.
The selected image is displayed in the PictureBox control.

Why does Image.FromFile() fails (OutOfMemoryException) when I try to load an
icon file from the filesystem, that contains 32bit and 24bit icons, but
works fine for Icon files with only 32bit icons (and 8bit icons)?
Does the fact that EnableVisualStyles() is being used matter?

I’m writing a Windows application.
In the form I have a Panel and inside the panel I have a PictureBox control.
I’m loading the PictureBox control with BMP image that has the following
criteria:
14174 x 7874 Pixels (111.61MPixels), 1 BitsPerPixel, 3200x3200 DPI, No
Compression.
The memory consumption for loading this image should be 13.31 MB (13,952,776
Bytes) (this is what IrfanView takes, http://www.irfanview.com/).

I get an out of memory exception when attempting to excecute the
following code:
original = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(file.FileName,true);
I ONLY get this exception when the file is in the "My Documents"
folder or subfolders. If the file lives anywhere else on the hard
drive, I have no problems.
What could be going on here?

Hello,
I'm trying to load different images (icons) into a PictureBox1.Image.
The first image loads just fine, but the second image always returns the
error "Invalid property used."
It doesn't matter what icons are loaded. The first always shows up and any
icons after that give me the error.
Here is the offending code:
The "DestinationPath" variable is the full path and filename of the icon

Hello.
I'm trying to create an Image so I use something like this:
Image newImage = Image.FromFile(filename);
Now when it's a bmp file and certain .gif files it gives me an
exception that says: "Invalid parameter used". The gif an bmp files are
valid image files, I can open them in any graphics software and windows
can do the preview.
