I don't believe a syntax driven equivalent exists for this, but I just
thought it would be neat if you could use foreach to do something like this:
foreach (Object x in collection1, collection2)
and have it sequentially enumerate through both of them.

I rencently tested an web application with ISAPI extensions that internally
use managed extensions but the call to the ISAPI failed. I receive the
following message: "A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine
failed." in my browser. These ISAPI extension work when they execute under
W2K or WXP.
To reproduce the problem, I've create a simple isapi extension with visual
studio 2002 and visual studio 2003 and changed the code with:

I am working on interop using C and managed c++ (on Visual Studio 2003 IDE).
How do i simulate the foreach loop present in C# or VB.NET in MC++
foreach (DataRow dr in ds.Tables.Rows) equivalent in MC++?
Thanks

Hi there. Can anybody comment on the efficiency of the following technique:
foreach (SomeItem Item in SomeNativeDotNet.Collection)
{
// Whatever
}
My concern is that the "Collection" property itself may be invoked on each
iteration rather than being called just once at the outset of "foreach". If
so then there's no way to know whether the call to retrieve this property is

We have two separate DLLs that do not interact (directly, at least). One is
an MFC extension DLL that was built back in VC++ 6 days (but has been
recompiled with VS2005). The other is a DLL that contains .Net functions
wrapped in C++ (as described by Paul DiLascia -- see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/06/06/CAtWork/default.aspx). Both
DLLs specify 'Use MFC in a shared DLL'.
Since we have an old VC 6 application (large) that we...

Hi guys,
I'm building a MFC extension dll using c++.net 2003. everything was fine before I add the flag AFX_EXT_CLASS to a managed class. but once add this flag, as following:
__gc class AFX_EXT_CLASS A
{
//class def.
}
I got a compile error:

Currently it is only legal to use types which has a method named
GetEnumerator to be used in a foreach loop.
This makes it impossible to use the same Enumerator after and before a
foreach loop, because GetEnumerator always returns a new one.
My proposal would allow the following scenario:
You could for example the first and the last element of the list as a
special case:

Currently I have a PHP extension thats all written and compiles under
windows, but the PC I'm going to end up putting it on is running
Ubuntu 8.04 (g++ 4.2.3).
I've delved into PHP documentation and ended up with a simple
config.m4 file and the process to compile.
However when I try to compile I get loads of errors that I didn't get
when compiling under windows.
I've managed to simplify the code down and create a simple extension
(that...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
