PROBLEM: Stepping into unmanaged C++ DLL's code

Hi,
I have a managed Application (C#) that uses a managed DLL (MC++) which
uses an unmanaged DLL (C++).
All reside under the same solution. The unmanaged DLL has virtual
methods, it is loaded statically (using DLL's lib file) by the managed
DLL.
When debugging the application I cannot step into the unmanaged DLL's
code.
Only if I attach a debugger manually I'm able to breakpoint in the
unmanaged code.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

In the Debugging section of the project settings for the application,
enable unmanaged debugging.

Hi, I am writing a performence critical application, this require me to stick to unmanaged C++ as performance is much better using unmanaged C++ ( about 33% better ), Still, I am trying to avoid the usage of old style COM, my alternative is to expose my unmanaged interface through the CLI, to achieve that I have created a mixed mode DLL in which my unmanaged class are defined. When referencing the DLL just described in another mixed mode EXE...

I am stuck in a situation and I do believe that this should work, but it doesn't. I have a unmanaged dll, that uses MFC. This works great. Now I recompile the unmanaged dll so it contains mixed mode managed/unmanaged code, but only use unmanaged code, but this gives a error the moment I want to display a MFC dialog box: Something like unreferenced object,... during runtime.

I have a VS.Net solution that contains various projects. Some of the projects contain programme blocks (legacy code) that are used by some of the other projects. One project contains some C code (managed and unmanaged) that uses external libraries (GNU Scientific Library). Hello, I have a native DLL (written in C) which is supposed to call a managed DLL (was written in C#, and an entry point was injected modifying the ildasm'd code). Hi all, i have a managed c++ dll using both managed and unmanaged code and an unmanaged application that calls the unmanaged code of the managed dll. I did follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814472/en-us but still the application crashs before the first call of the unmanaged code. I am trying to use unmanaged DLLs within managed code. My approach is to create a managed DLL with wrapper functions for my unmanaged functions. The unmanaged functions come from an unmanaged DLL. I can successfully build my managed DLL and use it from managed code. However, at runtime the code cannot find the unmanaged DLL. I've tried putting the unmanaged DLL in the same directory as the code is running from, in C:\Windows\System32,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
