passing multi-dimensional arrays to web service

Hello all:

What is the proper way to implement in MC++ a web service which accepts
a multi dimensional array as a parameter to one of its methods?

This does compile:

[System::Web::Se rvices::WebMeth od(Description= "Test 2D arrays")]
double pass2DArray(Dou ble array __gc[,]);

but accessing the .asmx servcie produces:

"System.Invalid OperationExcept ion: Multi-dimensional arrays are not
supported. Use a jagged array instead."

Trying to use jagged array like this:

[System::Web::Se rvices::WebMeth od(Description= "Test 2D arrays")]
double pass2DArray(Dou ble array __gc[][]);

results in compilation error:
"error C2691: 'double __gc[]' : invalid type for __gc array element".

I am using this together with the MS WebServices Toolkit 2.01 hence
cross posting to the VBA group.
Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 69462-005-7997287-18829

Thanks,

V.

I am trying to pass multi values into a where clause with an in clause in a store procedure to use in a Crystal report. This can change depending on the user. Maybe there is another way to pass multi values. Hi, I currently have a control that is on a form and I want to pass that exact instance of the control to another form (a child form that appears on a button click). The control has state, etc. that works with both forms. In my button click on FormA, I take my control and pass it to a constructor in FormB. Here is the code in the constructor:

Hi, In order to use an external api call that requires a function pointer I am currently creating static wrappers to call my objects functions. I want to re-jig this so I only need 1 static wrapper function. I would prefer to be able to pass the member function as a void* to the static wrapper but I suspect this may not even be possible. Another solution would be option 2 below but I can't figure out the syntax to call obj->*pFn(). ...

Hi Everyone, I've seen this question posted before and I believe the answer was to incorporate VB code somewhere into the form. I am not familiar with VB and just wanted to know where to paste the code to. I just have a simple query to pull all rows for any values selected in that multi-select field. Form name is Search List box name is List11

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
