Hello,
how can I get all subdirectories of a given directory. os.listdir(dir)
doesn't differentiate between directories and files, os.walk seems to me a
bit overkill since it also descends in the subdirs.
Thx,
Florian

Hi,
I am writing a very simple script that should return all
subdirectories on a given path (non recursively, so just first level).
This is the sub that I have for doing this but it gives very strange
results:

Hi I need help writing a python script that traverses (recursivly) a
directory and its sub directories and processes all files in the
directory. So at each directory if there are files in it I must build
a list of those files and process them by exectuing a system command
(exec?)
Can some one tell me what methods to use to:
a) Walk the directory tree
b) execute a system command with parameters.

hey,
i am trying to move files with a specific file-ending (.msf) to dir above their
current location. my code so far works as long as all the files are on the same
dir level.
but how can i make it work if there are multiple subdirs with files inside of
them on different dir levels?

Im using a batch process function but found PHP to behave very
strangely: It only reads subdirs that have caharacters in their names.
Im having subdirs with integer names (0, 1, 2, 3.. ) but this script
does not read them at all?! Can someone tell me how to get around
this?
function readSubdir($dirPath) {

Hi all! Hope you can help me.
I want to find all files matching a wildcard in all subdirectories. Is
there a quick way to do that? For example in DOS I can go dir *.txt /s and
it will find all txt files in the current directory and all directories
below that. Is there a VB function that will do that? The other choice is
to create some complicated recursive function that lists each directory,
stores the names of the subdirectories...

Hi All,
I am trying to make a debian package. I am following the tutorial by
Horst Jens (http://showmedo.com/videos/video?name=linuxJensMakingDeb&fromSeriesID=37)
and it is very informative. However one thing my app has and his
doesn't, is multiple python files which need to be executed. For
example
{dir}/app

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
