I've got a function which gets passed a call-back function as a
parameter. I want to check to make sure the thing passed in is indeed
callable. Is:
assert '__call__' in dir (param)
the right thing to do, or is there something cleaner? Will that work
for all callable values of param, regardless if it's a static function,
class method, built-in, etc?

I have a managed c++ function below that makes a call to an unmanaged c++ dll
.. This function is called from a C# app, resulting in a
"Debug Assertion Failed dbgdel.cpp Line 52
Expression: _BLOCK_TYPE_IS_VALID(pHead->nBlockUse)" errir message.
This happens on function exit, looks like related to destruction of some vector.
Any ideas why ????

Hi all
I have a table with some email addresses of a mailing list subscribers.
I'm triying to send a mail to them by querying the table and sending
the mail from a 'while' loop, but I only get sent the mail to the first
address, and no more, and the 'while' is correct and I can see the
debug traces from within for each address.
I don't know if there is any reason for this, if the smtp server is
busy sending the first mail when receiving...

Hi,
I have a DB2 database (version 7) running on Windows 2000 server and
recently facing problem to backup my database. I got an error "Disk
was full" after half way running the backup. My database size is
about 10GB, I have tried to backup the database into a DDS tape (20GB)
or hardisk (100GB free space) but still getting the same error. So,
there is no possibility that the backup media is full. Anyway, here's
part of db2diag.log file...
