qualified or unqualified in headerfiles (mc++)?

Hello,

I don't want to dump everything in System namespace into global namespace,
so I fully qualify all names. But it makes things hard to read, for
example, writing System::Xml::Se rialization::Xm lAttributeAttri bute instead
of simply XmlAttributeAtt ribute. I do this in all my headerfiles. All
examples I read on CSharp (there are none for mc++!) dump everything into
global namespace. What is the recommended way?

Hi, I have a xml file like the one below <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><e1 xmlns:e1="http://tempuri.org/Source1.xsd" e1:att1="1" e1:att2="2" e1:rest="345"/> If I try to create a schema for it with Visual Studio, I get the error "Failed to create a schema for this data file because:

In the textbook, there is a sentence that "Default XML namespaces(xmlns="...") helps a lot, but can also create problems, as a side effect of the rules for automatic qualification. How to understand "automatic qualification" here? Could you please give me an example? Secondly, unless otherwise specified, a schema prescribes that loal elements and attributes must be "unqualified". What does "unqualified" mean? Could you please giv eme an...

Sorry for the crossposting guys. I figured this one might be a little tricky, so I'm calling upon the C# brains out there to help out this poor VB developer. I know enough C# to translate any code you can offer, if necessary. I have a very loosely coupled WinForms app written in VB.Net, Framework v1.1 I need to take a string value which contains the unqualified name of a class, find the assembly that contains such a class, and...

Hi everyone I am a new poster to this group, so hello to you all! Having just started a new job I have been thrown in the deep end with some heavy XML work so I am finding my feet and I am sure that this will be the first of many posts on here! My first question is to do with Complex Types in XSD. I have figured out what a complex type is, and I have found that what the API provider

Using .NET framework 1.1 SP1, .NET framework SDK 1.1 SP1, Visual Studio .NET 2003, hotfixes 892202 and 823639. I create a proxy class using wsdl.exe, and in the serialized XML request, I see that any elements that are nested elements in the schema (not global elements) have their namespaces set to the null namespace. I can see that the proxy classes have serialization attributes specifying these nested elements as unqualified: ///...

Hi, need some help with creating a WSDL file. I will try to summarize the problem like this: I need to create a wsdl that accepts a response that has no namespace- prefix in the first line in the body, like this: "...<soap:Body><UpdateCustomerDetailsResponse xmlns="AMI">..." I have tried setting the schema-element like <s:schema elementFormDefault="unqualified" targetNamespace="AMI"and since this

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
