Hi:
I'm trying to run Extended stored procedure, which is written in VC++ in
window 2000 Professional. It works fine.
But when I run it in windows 2003 I get following error
ODBC: Msg 0, Level 16, State 1
Cannot load the DLL GenerateIdentit y.dll, or one of the DLLs it references.
Reason: 126(The specified module could not be found.).
Is it some thing to do with security of windows 2003?(I had Placed
GenerateIdentit y.dll in binn directory of sqlserver and Registered as
extended stored procedure with sp_addextendedp roc, same I did for Windows
2000).
Please advice, if any thing is missing...
TIA
Thanks,
sswalia

We have an application that is based on several extended stored
procedures. When we run our application in house, or when most other
customers run it, they see performance of about X transactions per
second. One customer is seeing performance of about X/5, and I'm
having a hard time troubleshooting it. The performace bottleneck has
been narrowed to the execution of the extended stored procedures. Does
anyone know of tuneable SQL Server...

Here is what I would like to be able to do,
Have an SQL extended stored procedure to do file copy, delete, and
rename(move) procedures.
I have written the code in C# to do this, in the form of a simple app,
and it contains all of the functionality, error handling, etc. that I need.
I would like to use the extended stored procedure framework from visual
studio, but I am unsure how to merge these two together.
I do "not" want to make a dll,...

Hi All,
Sorry for cross posting , but my neck on the line forced me to do this
disgusting act.
I have an Extended Stored Procedure DLL made in VC 7.0
It was working fine on my development PC (Windows 2000 Professional ) and
worked just fine on couple of other development PCS.
When the DLL was deployed on the Win2003 server its normal invokation raises
following error.

I am writing an extended stored procedure in c++ 7. As I have been

Hi. I have some functionality in a C# DLL that I would like to be able
to call from inside SQLServer. I know this was possible in C++, using
an Extended Stored Procedure, but I haven't been able to find a similar
process for C#. Does anyone know if such an animal exists?
I believe I could call the C# routines from within a C++ extended
stored procedure wrapper, but I stink as a C++ programmer (pointers?
what?) and don't want to learn C++...

Hello
I am having an issue that I've been having for months, whereby I can't get
*ANY* extended stored procedure to run on the PC other than the one I
developed it on.
The ones I have tested have all got exactly the same SQL server
configuration (default installation of MSDE). "sp_addextendedproc" appears to
run without error, but on invoking the xp, I get the error:
Cannot load the DLL testproc.dll, or one of the DLLs it references....

Hi all,
I'd like some advice on adding an extended stored procedure (XP). I found an article which advises "put the call of the extended prodecure within a database procedure in the database from which it will be called".
http://www.windowsitlibrary.com/Content/77/20/1.html#1
This sounds like what I want to do, where can I find details on "how to" do this, including granting rights to execute the SP, XP?
Running Windows 2000 Server, MS SQL...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
