Forms/Controls. I'm having trouble drilling down into Control properties.
First, I have a record set with the following for a given Form:

Please help
I don't know if this is possible but what I would really like to do is
to use On Error Goto to capture the code that is being executed when
an error occurs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
We are in the process of examining our current main application. We have to
do some major changes and, in the process, are questionning/validating the
use of MS Access as front-end. The application is relatively big: around 200
tables, 200 forms and sub-forms, 150 queries and 150 repports, 5GB of data
(SQL Server 2000), 40 users.
I'm wondering what are the disadvantages of using Access as front-end? Other
that it's not...

Modal forms are great for locking the user out of non focused forms
allowing tight control over program flow, but they have one side
effect which user find very irritating i.e. Access cannot be
minimized.
Perhaps I should be satisfied with the routine I have written which
disables controls on a form before the popup form is opened but a
background form full of disabled controls can look damned ugly in
certain circumstances:-

I am a .NET/C++ developer who is supposed to do some work with Access.
I do not know much about it except for the DB part.
Questions:
*1*
I am looking for INTENSIVE books to get quickly up to speed.
I like books with practical exercises, and also with test questions (like
cert books)

I have a Windows Forms application that accesses SQL Server 2k from a
small local network. The application has been used for weeks on other
systmes but a new install on a new machine retruns errors.
The machine is a new laptop Windows XP Pro SP2
The machine is up to date with respect to the dot net framework.
Details:
Dot Net Framework ver. 1.0.3705 is installed
Dot Net Framework ver. 1.1.4322 is installed

I'd like to open a discussion about the state of the industry. For the
past year, I've been unable to find competent Access developers
available for hire. I'm worried about that.
I think there's great demand right now, and that's keeping the good
developers busy, but that's not enough to explain the situation.
Whenever I post an Access job, I get lots of responses from .NET
developers, back-end database people, and web developers. They...

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is
upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server
at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has
licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that.
I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if
Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

SQL Server will be used as the back-end database to a non trivial client
application.
In question is the choice of client application:
I need to be able to speak intelligently about when one client (MS Access vs
..NET Windows Forms) would be preferred over the other. While I have some
good arguments on both sides, I would appreciate your points of view on the
topic.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
