Hi all,
Is there any way in an unmanaged C++ project to have the FILEVERSION
property in the version resource automatically get a larger value each time
I rebuild my project? 8 2914
Muechel,
Thanks for the quick response. I guess I should have said that I'm using
Visual Studio .Net, so the VS 6 addins don't help me.
I guess the short answer is that Visual Studio .Net doesn't provide any sort
of automatic version increment feature for unmanaged code similar to what
you can do in managed code. Is this true?
I searched the CodeProject.com articles but didn't find anything that seemed
like a reasonable solution...

placed by an horizontal sizer.
Now, what I would like to do is to be able to load an image and display

Please write suggestions on how to automatically increment time in a
field (table or query).
Example:
Name | Time
John Doe | 11:00 AM
Jane Doe | 11:08 AM (8 minutes later)
Jim Doe | 11:16 AM (8 minutes later)

In VB6 there is Auto Increment check box in Project Properties, which allow
you have a new version every time you compile the project.
Is there any easy way to have this feature in VB 2005?
Some of my blocks of code check and compare versions of EXE and DLLs located
on the local workstation and the server. So it's very important for me to
have an incremented number in case the project was rebuilt. It can be done
manually, of course, but I...

I am resurrecting this question (since it got bumped down by more
recent posts).
This is probably very simple - I need to add a version resource to a
DLL project in MSVC++ 2005 Express in order to have version info,
copyright, etc. when checking the DLL file properties from Windows
Explorer.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi,
Is there any known bug related to
Interlocked.Increment(ref var)?
My client report var's value going up and down in the client/server
multile-thread application. There are about 80 clients connect to one server
though TCP client.
But actully I never decrease var.

I seem to be having an issue with version incrementation. When
building my app, it will not consistently increment the version
number. I currently have the attribute set at "1.2.*" and the default
versioning behavior would be fine if only it would increment every
time I build the project. Is there a minimum number of lines of code
that must change for a build to increment it's version? I understood
that the default build and version...

I have a multi-user Access database with back- and front end on the network.
Problem is that the forms don't get refreshed automatically: if user A
enters a record it will only become available to user B if user B closes the
form and re-opens it. I know that I can add a button to the form that does
Me.Requery but I can't imagine there isn't a possibility that does this
automatically and without noticing it. I

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
