When clicking on the following link from an email i.e -
http://myserver/myapplication/myprogram.asp?urlvar1=some%20stuff&urlvar2=more%20stuff
I get a server 500 error. With that same browser window open, if I click
the link from the email again I get the desired page. The results are the
same if the url is copied and pasted into the brower but the 'go' must be
pressed twice.
It appears that the server is trying to resolve the url vars...

Hye,
I am trying to get notification of any browser request... (not only that
of the local server.. e.g. http://localhost/. so ISAPI filters will not be
the right way to solve problem)
So, whenever any request like (http://www.yahoo.com/) is made in IE, I
want my DLL routine or my EXE to be called.. So, how to do that, any
suggestion will be highly appreciated...
Is there any registry entry that enables us to do that...

A strange behaviour thatI found in ASP.NET 2.0.
I am trying to issue a callback request (handled by
ICallbackEventHandler and RaiseCallbackEvent) and a regular GET request
in the client browser and handle them at the same time - in parallel.
The funny thing is that the behaviour of the implementation I created
depends on the existence of Global.asax in the Web application.
Here is the source of the page that handles the regular GET...

Hi !
I saw that in Outlook Web Access (OWA) you get small notification window
when a new e-mail is received even when the browser window is minimized and
it appears at the right corner of the screen.
I developed a web application and I'd like to generate a similar popup
window to notify the user on new events. I tried many ideas but no success so
far...

Hi all,
In order to solve code-behind of global.asax problem, I removed the code
from global.asax, and just leave one line "<%@ Application Language="C#"
Inherits="Global"%>" in this file. Then I created a CS file in App_Code
folder named Global.asax.cs:
public class Global : System.Web.HttpApplication {
void Application_OnError(object sender, EventArgs e) {
// my own complex error handling logic
}

Hi,
I have a problem where the code in Global.asax.cs runs before the unittests
(on test of course).
In the global file, i load some data from a Oracle table and save it in
HttpApplicationState. This is happening in the Application_start function.
The following unittest show the beginning of the method, where the database
mock is created. If this mock isn't created, the unittest will try to access

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
