in the last few days I've made my first few attempts at creating mixed C++
managed-unmanaged assemblies and looking aftwerwards with ILDASM at what is
visible in those assemblies from a managed point-of-view I've noticed that:
1) for each managed and unmanaged C function (not C++ classes) I get a
public managed static method (defined on a 'Global Functions' class) in the
generated assembly with an export name of the form...

I am doing some development in VC++ using some llibraries downloaded
from the web. The library comes in 3 files
<mylib.dll>, <mylib.lib>, <mylib.exp>
and I also have <mylib.h>.

Under VC7.1, I am trying to wrap a native-C++ DLL that contains C++
objects in a Managed-C++ class library for use in a C# project.
I created and compiled the native DLL under VC7.1 as a Win32 DLL C++
(unmanaged) project. I found the decorated names of the symbols I
wanted to export and created a .def file, so that it generated an
import library.
I took this import library and had my Managed-C++ class library link

I've been instructed to work againt a huge unmanaged C++ API from a C#
application.
Now, the only way, as I've understood it, is to go the Managed Extensions
for C++ way. This means I have to write a wrapper between unmanaged API and
my managed app.

I am trying to create a dll that internally uses managed types but
exposes a plain unmanaged interface. All the managed stuff shall be
"wrapped out of sight". So that I would be able to use that dll from
pure unmanaged code (for example inherit from classes in that dll). Is
something like that possible. I heared something called ManWarp tried
that approach.
