Hi, I have a problem with calling a managed C++ function from C#. The function in C++ looks like Class::Func(char* Text) this function is compiled to an DLL and this DLL is referenced in my C# project and I can see that I could call this function like Func(sbyte* ).

Under VC7.1, I am trying to wrap a native-C++ DLL that contains C++ objects in a Managed-C++ class library for use in a C# project. I created and compiled the native DLL under VC7.1 as a Win32 DLL C++ (unmanaged) project. I found the decorated names of the symbols I wanted to export and created a .def file, so that it generated an import library. I took this import library and had my Managed-C++ class library link against it. The...

The following code is from a solution with a C++ project and a C# project. The C++ project creates a managed array and the C# project tries to use it. But I am having a 'System.ValueType' to 'System.Drawing.Point' conversion problem in the C# project. How is this supposed to be done? ------------------------------------------------------------------- C++ project files ------------------------------------------------------------------- ...

I have imported a legacy C++ project into a VisualStudio.NET 2003 solution. I have some new C# projects in the solution as well. I am using the managed extensions in my C++ project so that I can use the managed C# objects within my C++ project. Here's the problem: I am getting a debug assertion in cmdtarg.cpp (line 48) of my main CWinApp derived class when I exit the application: CCmdTarget::~CCmdTarget() { ....

Hi, I am writing a performence critical application, this require me to stick to unmanaged C++ as performance is much better using unmanaged C++ ( about 33% better ), Still, I am trying to avoid the usage of old style COM, my alternative is to expose my unmanaged interface through the CLI, to achieve that I have created a mixed mode DLL in which my unmanaged class are defined. When referencing the DLL just described in another mixed mode EXE...

I am stuck in a situation and I do believe that this should work, but it doesn't. I have a unmanaged dll, that uses MFC. This works great. Now I recompile the unmanaged dll so it contains mixed mode managed/unmanaged code, but only use unmanaged code, but this gives a error the moment I want to display a MFC dialog box: Something like unreferenced object,... during runtime.

I have defined a managed class ( __gc ) and a unmanaged ( __nogc ) in a separate files (but in the same vc++ dotnet project). I have no problem of referencing the unmanaged class from the menaged one. My problem is that I cannot reference managed class from the unmanaged. In my unmanaged class, if I use "using namespace ManagedNamespace;" I get error C2871: a namespace with this name does not exist. I get the simmilar error when trying...

I have the following situation: There are two dlls in question: a c++ dll (native) and a c++/cli dll (managed) with /clr option enabled. Managed dll links with native dll. Native dll exports a class ClientSession with a method GetJob. Managed dll references this method and compiles just fine.

I am having problem to delete a Managed C++ DLL that was used in a pure C# DLL even in the following scenario. 1. Launch the application. This applicatio has its own default applicaiton domain. 2. Create a new Application Domain. 3. Load the Pure C# DLL in the new applicaiton domain. This C# DLL uses managed C++ DLL. 4. Create a Proxy object using CreateInstanceAndUnwrap for the wrapper

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
