I have a very strange problem. I created an XSD file with the following
root:
<Database>
</Database>
However, since C++ does not allow you to have a property with the same name
as the class, when it generates the Strongly typed Dataset, it appends the
text "Schema" to the end of the root element. So the Strongly Typed class
name is DatabaseSchema. It does this by looking at the id property of the
schema.

I'm in a real pickle. I've inherited a project with major problems. It
receives encrypted XML files from a website not under my control (so I can't
modify the web app) for insertion into a database. I'm under intense
pressure to get the data into the database NOW. I can decrypt the files
alright and they look like xml, they'll import into Access 2K3 with no
problem, but VB.Net will not read them. It's complaining about no root...

Hi,
I am retriving data from sql server using the xml raw clause and an
xmltextwriter.
this is working out fine except the xml raw clause does not put a root node
on the xml that is returned from sql server and subsequently an xmldocument
can't be created from the xmltextwriter as there is no root element.
however if the xml raw query returns only a single row then there is a root

<client name="Microsoft">
<address country="USA" city="Washington" />

Produces a great framework for developing applications.

I am relatively new to XML and C#. So, forgive me if this question is
too newbie. :-)
While assuming this is an easy programming task, I couldn't find a
single reference anywhere for how to do it. Here is the situation:
I am given an XML file like the one below from other group in my
company to load the data into our database.
<root xmlns="the-namespace">

Hi everyone
>From one of our systems an xml file is produced. I need to validate
this file before we send it to an external system for a very lenghty
process. I cannot change the xml file layout.
The solution i got today is very slow, and i need help to find another
solution.
Here is the xml file. It consists of a list of position ids (ESTOXX50
INDEX_BM_E and FTSE INDEX_BM_E), and below that a list of tags for each
position id. What i...

Can be multiple instances of element used as the root element?
That's a curly way of asking, but I did not come up with a better
sentence, sorry. What I mean is with a document like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<root>
<element>Content</element>
<root><element>Content</element></root>
<element>Content</element>

My TCL proc, XML_GET_ALL_ELEMENT_ATTRS, is supposed to convert an XML
file into a TCL list as follows:
attr1 {val1} attr2 {val2} ... attrN {valN}
This is the TCL code that does this:
set contents ]; close $fileID

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
