Hi,
I've got a simple console app that just reads an XML file into a DataSet
then prints out a description of each table in the DataSet, including
column names and row values for each column. I'm getting some strange
results depending the input XML file I use. I was wondering if somebody
could help me understand what is going on or point me to a good reference.
The code for my program looks like this:

are sorting a dataview. this works fine, but i want to return the results

I am writing a data access layer for a web service. Data from the web
service is to be returned as XML. My design dilemma is this...
Should I be returning XML from my stored procedures using the "for xml"
clause or loading the data into a DataSet in the data access layer and then
outputting XML from the dataset as the response? All my sprocs are simple
CRUD spocs just to keep maintenance easy.
My own bias is to output XML from the...

I have successfully loaded a DataSet object with a XML schema (XSD).
Now I wish to populate the tables that was created in the DataSet.
I have an XML file/string that contain all the needed data in the same
format as the XSD (the XML file/string was created using this same schema).
The XML file/string may contain data for a single table or for several
tables at once.
The question is:

wonder if anyone can help me here,
i've a framework 1.1 dataset which i serialize in framework 1.1 and
deserialize in framework 2.0.
This is fine, problem is that i want to modify some of the records in
framework 2.0 and serialize the data so framework 1.1 can deserialize it and
do what it required.
Is this possible?

This just seems like the most basic thing, but I can't find a simple
description of this process anywhere and in here, everone is talking about
going the other way :( I had .NET create an XML Schema file (xsd) for a table
in my database. I then create a DataSet that contains 1 row of data from that
same table. I want to use this DataSet along with the Schema file to create
an XML file that ACTUALLY CONTAINS THE DATA. Simple huh: DataSet +...

Hello,
I have a dataset which is already loaded with data in one table.
so dataset.tables("data") exists and has data.
Now, I have to add another table to the dataset. The source for this table
is a XMLDoc. So I have the XML in a XMLDoc and I need to create a table in
the dataset which would read xml from the XMLDoc .
So in essence I need something like

I'm re-writing an application in C# that was originally written in
Delphi 7. The heart of the application is a DataSet displayed in a
DataGrid.
One of the main functions of the previous application was to save the
data to a file (it was XML, but the format is unimportant) that can be
re-loaded into the DataSet at a later time. (The reason for this was
that the queries which populate the DataSet can take a while to run, and
people...

I'm a bit puzzled by the current recommendation not to send Datasets or
Datatables between application tiers.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306134
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms996381.aspx
Formerly, with classic Microsoft DNA architecture, the ADO Recordset was a
primary transport medium, recommended for transmitting data between
application tiers. In fact, there are whole books written on the subject.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
