Hi,
I've got a simple console app that just reads an XML file into a DataSet
then prints out a description of each table in the DataSet, including
column names and row values for each column. I'm getting some strange
results depending the input XML file I use. I was wondering if somebody
could help me understand what is going on or point me to a good reference.
The code for my program looks like this:

I have a static, thread-safe class with a DataSet as a property.
When the class is instanced into an object, some callers add rows to a
DataTable in the DataSet. Other callers read the DataSet.
When any caller reads the DataSet, I want the object to delete all of
the rows in the DataTable. I think I want to make a custom event but
I don't know where/how to get started. Help?
Thanks.

Hi,
I've got a DataSet (ds) which was created by a DataAdapter (da) method:
ds.Fill(ds).
This DataSet is passed through various methods (by value). Each method
changes some fields in the DataSet (for converting data in another format).
As this DataSet is _not_ class-wide declarated, each method returns the
changed DataSet and so it is passed through all methods and back to its

I know how to create a DataAdapter that loads data from a data source
into a table in a typed DataSet, and how to set the DataSource and
DataMember properties of a DataGrid so that at run time it will load
the data from that table in the DataSet.
Assuming I've got two tables in the DataSet, how can I set the
DataSource property of the DataGrid to be an inner join of the two
tables in the DataSet?
If I want the DataGrid to get data...

I am having no problems connecting to a DB, creating a DataAdapter,
and creating a dataset...and connecting to the data. Using the
builtin data objects to do all this.
My only problem now is navigating through the data. I can get the
data into a datagrid without any problems, but I want the data to show
up in textboxes and use some sort of move next, move previous, move
last, etc (like in VB6) command to navigate the data (using...

OK, I have filled a DataSet with an SqlDataAdapter and I just want the data
in one column of one row. How can I do this since the following gives me
the infamous 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error:
strng = datset.Tables("Users").Rows(0).Item("Users").ToString()
My table is called Users and I want the first row, and the only column is
also called Users.
I broke it down by declaring a DataTable and a DataRow etc...

Hello
I developed and tested a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET
Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1. It uses a web form.
I used the XML Designer to create an XML .XSD Schema to produce a Dataset.
In looking for a way to start adding data to the dataset programmatically, i
found this method in just about every thing i read.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
