DataSet & XML Lesson 2
2*complex + 2*simple = 2much ?
Hello,
I have a XSD file with a valid schema (see below).
I can see the schema-diagram in the XML-Designer of VisualStudio well,
but when I call "Schema / DataSet-Preview" it fails with "Undefined
datatype: 'baseTyp'."
Why???
There is no problem (1*complex + 2*simple = OK), if I use
<xs:element name="Elem" type="attribTyp " />
instead of
<xs:element name="Elem" type="elemTyp" />
There is no problem (2*complex + 1*simple = OK), if I use
<xs:attribute name="Attrib" type="baseTyp" />
instead of
<xs:attribute name="Attrib" type="attribTyp " />
There is no problem (2*complex + 1*simple = OK), if I use
<xs:simpleTyp e name="attribTyp ">
<xs:restricti on base="xs:normal izedString">
instead of
<xs:simpleTyp e name="attribTyp ">
<xs:restricti on base="baseTyp">
But there is a problem if I use:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<xs:schema targetNamespace ="http://tempuri.org/test2.xsd"
xmlns="http://tempuri.org/test2.xsd"
xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<xs:element name="Root">
<xs:complexType >
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="Elem" type="elemTyp" />
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
<xs:complexTy pe name="elemTyp">
<xs:attribute name="Attrib" type="attribTyp " />
</xs:complexType>
<xs:simpleTyp e name="attribTyp ">
<xs:restricti on base="baseTyp">
<xs:enumerati on value="bottom" />
<xs:enumerati on value="middle" />
<xs:enumerati on value="top" />
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>
<xs:simpleTyp e name="baseTyp">
<xs:restricti on base="xs:normal izedString" />
</xs:simpleType>
</xs:schema>
thanks,

view cannot display. The same table (Table name) cannot be the child table

I am trying to create a database to store my lesson plans in and I have hit a
problem that I am sure is simple to solve but my lack of access (2000) ability
is getting in the way.
What I want to do is to have three combo? boxes on a form . The first two are
for subject (eg Biology & Human Biology) and the second is level (GCSE, AS &
A2).
What I want is for the contents of the third combo box to have a drop down list
of topic names...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
