Calling Schema & XMLValidating Reader Heads!

I've written a spiffy class to validate my xml. it loads up a schema into an
xmlvalidatingre ader and runs thru the xml, firing validationevent s as it
goes.

Friend Sub ValidationEvent Handle(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal args As
ValidationEvent Args)

_bIsValid = False

_errordata.Add( _reader.Name & "|" & _sCurrentFilena me & "|" &
_iCurrentRecord Number & "|" & args.Message & "|" & Me.SchemaFilena me & "|" &
_reader.Reader. Value)

End Sub

my question is simple - is there any know whay to reference the actual VALUE
that raised the error? ive tried hitting the underlying reader, to no
avail....

Many thanks in advance!!!!

I would like to perform a 2-pass XML reading from a stream. Once using the Validating reader, just to confirm the validity against the schema, and next time to do a reading to extract the data. Actually, second time I do a deserialization, the data from XML is fed directly to an object. The problem I am experiencing is the error at the second reading attempt, and error description implies that reader is winded to the end of the XML and...

Hello, New to the XML world and .NET. I have what I believe to be a simple problem, but I have read the .NET docs till I'm blue in the face and still can't locate a simple example of how to accomplish this. I have two strings (C# string type). One of them contains an XML document. The other one contains a schema.

Is there a way to get the current XmlNode from the reader while in the validation event handler? What I'd like to do is display the error message along with the name of its parent node. In my XML format, there are parent nodes named differently with some of the same names for child nodes, so when I get an error message that references the 'LOGICALPOCKET' node that could be under more than one different parent node. I need to be able to...

Hi... I've been trying the .Validate() method on the XmlDocument to validate some xml against a schema, but one thing I noted was that unless the document explicitly declares the schema as a default namespace, Validate() just lets it slide through as a success. Is there a way to Validate() either a) mandating against a particular schema, or at the very least b) supplying a default namespace to be used even when not explicitly declared?

Hey everyone, I am a Java programmer, somewhere between novice to advanced. I wanted to know if it is still recommended to read "The C Programming Language" 2nd Edition? This edition was released in 1988, it is now 2007, almost 20 years. Also, since it is so old, is there some supplemental tutorial recommend to go along with it? Thanks for your advice. Rajiv Battula

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
