I have an intranet application that I setup using windows
authentication through IIS basic authentication. Is there
a way to set a timeout, so that after ten minutes the user
will be prompted again to enter their login ID and
password? I have not been able to find anything on
microsoft or google. Other than this, the only way a user
will be prompted again is if they are forced to open a new
browser window for getting to the web page. ...

authentication cookie never expires.

I am having a devil of a time trying to get Forms authentication to work in a very simple test
webapp (I've gotten it to work many, many times when developing on my WinXP client box, but I've
just switched to doing development/debug on a Win2K server with IIS5, and something is obviously
wrong).

Hi All,
I am working on a project that acts as a bridge. It does some checking with
post xml data, and then redirects the request to an appropriate page.
However, we find that depends on the browser cache setting (and OS), the
program behaves differently.
This is how it should work:
1. The client program opens a webbrowser control, using navigate2 method to
post xml data to my aspx pages, eg abc.aspx

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...

Hi,
I've done some coding in my web application however right now for an unknown
reason my asp.net 2.0 site is not setting asp.net_sessionid cookie and as a
result, I am losing the session data in each page refresh or redirect.
I really do not have any coding against how the session works.
And I have not changed any setting in IIS.
I even compared the 2 code(old and new) bases and didn't see anything funny

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
