I have installed the new Visual Studio 2003 and implemented the
FolderBrowserDialog.
Everything works fine, if I open the FolderBrowserDialog before
opening a Database Connection.
If I open the FolderBrowserDialog after I opened the database
connection no folders will be displayed in the FolderBrowserDialog.
It's empty.

Hi,
The following code shows the FolderBrowserDialog = broken.
FolderBrowserDialog folderDialog = new FolderBrowserDialog();
folderDialog.ShowNewFolderButton = false;
folderDialog.ShowDialog();
Setting ShowNewFolderButton to false does bugger all. If I set this to
false it is STILL shown. Genius.

After i upload the site i got an error on a page which was working on
the localhost.the error is

this line is where i open the recordset. the connection to the database
is the same connection for the localhost and the hosting server.

Hm, I have put a form in Startup... but, forgot to remove docmd.close
from it's code. Result... oh it's remarkable. After opening, a
database immediately closes!!
How to stop it? How to break code? ..what can I do?

I have narrowed a problem down to a simple example. A form with two
buttons. One EXIT and one FBD. The exit button does an "END" to end the
application. The FBD button does a FolderBrowserDialog and nothing else.
When I start the application and hit EXIT everything works fine. However if
it display the FBD box (even if I don't pick a folder and immediately hit

My application (a VB.NET 2003 WinApp) currently has first an OpenFileDialog
(asking for an input file to the process I'm working on), and then once the
user selects that, it brings up a FolderBrowserDialog box (asking for a
destination for the output files from the process to be saved).
The OpenFileDialog works beautifully.

Hello,
I am running my windows application on a 64 bit machine with MS .NET
Framework 2.0 (x64). When using the FolderBrowserDialog an unhandled
exception was coming time and again.
After putting the code to show the FolderBrowserDialog in a try catch I
was able to catch the exception but my application was still crashing.
A corresponding error was logged by .net Framework in the Apllication
Event Logs.

Hi,
I'm trying to display a MessageBox after a FolderBrowserDialog. I see that
it gets displayed, but not activated. The form is not in front and when I
have some other forms open the MessageBox is hidden behind them. The problem
seems to occur only after using the FolderBrowserDialog.
Has anyone seen this before?
