FolderBrowserDi alog problem after opening a database connection

I have installed the new Visual Studio 2003 and implemented the
FolderBrowserDi alog.

Everything works fine, if I open the FolderBrowserDi alog before
opening a Database Connection.

If I open the FolderBrowserDi alog after I opened the database
connection no folders will be displayed in the FolderBrowserDi alog.
It's empty.
1. it works:
------------------------------------

//open a test-form with a button, which opens the folderBrowserDi alog
Anja.test oTest = new Anja.test();
oTest.ShowDialo g();

//open Database-connection
OleDbConnection odconnScotty = new OleDbConnection (sConnectionStr ing);
odconnScotty.Op en();
2. it doesn't work:
------------------------------------

//open Database-connection
OleDbConnection odconnScotty = new OleDbConnection (sConnectionStr ing);
odconnScotty.Op en();

//open a test-form with a button, which opens the folderBrowserDi alog
Anja.test oTest = new Anja.test();
oTest.ShowDialo g();
What has the database to do with the FolderBrowserDi alog???

Hi, The following code shows the FolderBrowserDialog = broken. FolderBrowserDialog folderDialog = new FolderBrowserDialog(); folderDialog.ShowNewFolderButton = false; folderDialog.ShowDialog(); Setting ShowNewFolderButton to false does bugger all. If I set this to false it is STILL shown. Genius.

I have narrowed a problem down to a simple example. A form with two buttons. One EXIT and one FBD. The exit button does an "END" to end the application. The FBD button does a FolderBrowserDialog and nothing else. When I start the application and hit EXIT everything works fine. However if it display the FBD box (even if I don't pick a folder and immediately hit cancel) and then try to exit one of two things happens. Either (1) the...

My application (a VB.NET 2003 WinApp) currently has first an OpenFileDialog (asking for an input file to the process I'm working on), and then once the user selects that, it brings up a FolderBrowserDialog box (asking for a destination for the output files from the process to be saved). The OpenFileDialog works beautifully. The problem is, after the user selects the input file from the

Hello, I am running my windows application on a 64 bit machine with MS .NET Framework 2.0 (x64). When using the FolderBrowserDialog an unhandled exception was coming time and again. After putting the code to show the FolderBrowserDialog in a try catch I was able to catch the exception but my application was still crashing. A corresponding error was logged by .net Framework in the Apllication Event Logs.

Hi, I'm trying to display a MessageBox after a FolderBrowserDialog. I see that it gets displayed, but not activated. The form is not in front and when I have some other forms open the MessageBox is hidden behind them. The problem seems to occur only after using the FolderBrowserDialog. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks

Hi Guys, I've recently had a problem with my site displaying a "system resources exceeded" error message ... and whilst searching this site for a solution (which I think I've now found) I came across mention of closing database connections and so had a "best practice" question which I hoped someone might be able to help me with? I'm a .asp newbie and much of what I have learnt has been done by looking at various snippets of code on the web...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
