Mark, just hold the shift key while you open the database (this assumes
you haven't disabled the shift key). You'll get the mdb window and you
can then find the offending line and rem it out.
I actually use the on open event of start up forms to check for things,
be it Oracle connections (most of my regular work is against an Oracle
database) or a version control system. If the connection/version is not
as it should be, the on open event fires docmd.quit. If all is ok, I
set cancel = true without having to open the initial form and in you go...
