Hi,
I am having trouble importing data from an excel spreadsheet into MS
SQL Server 2000 using DTS Wizard. The DTS import process is
successfull, no errors, but only 50 rows of approx. 1500 rows of data
are imported. I tried to remove 20 rows in the excel spreadsheet in
the interval row 0-50. When i later ran the import, only 30 rows were
imported. I deleted almost every row in the interval 0-50, with the
result of the import having 0...

Greetings
When I use the import text wizard with a fixed width text file, I add
a break at the correct column but it doesn't line up with the text. It
seems that the display is shown in a non-proportional font.
When I look at the text file in notepad it's all nicely lined up but
in the wizard it's all over the place.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

All,
I have an import spec set up with quoted Identifiers and comma-separated
values. The text file is produced by a 3rd-party program of which I have no
control. It outputs all text fields surrounded by quotes, and all numeric
fields w/o quotes. All fields are separated with commas.

Is there a way to hide Tables from being displated by the Import Wizard?
I have already did the Right mouse click | Properties | Hide Option.
The tables disappear from the DB Window, but still seem to show-up when
I go to import a file.
The reason for this is Lusers.. If I don't limit the list to the table
they import into, they will import into the wrong table, or even import

I wanted to have a control button that I can use to replace the import
wizard in Access 2000. What I want to do is click the button which
will initiate the import wizard in the "find file to import" box. The
file name to import is the only thing I need to have the ability to

I have a request to give a user a gui that will allow them to create an
import schema for a text file, and if I can, I'd like to use one of those
import wizards to allow them to do that.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
