I have an application that allows a user to enter a user name, user password, and the domain or machine name. From this information I would like to verify the user account and password is valid. This must work for either a domain or a local machine account. I have tried to find examples from the web and it seems every example that I have found does not work or produces odd results.

Was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.
I'm looking at developing a Windows User Control using Visual Studio .NET
2005 in C#. The user control is to be used on a web page to replace an
existing Java applet. One of the main reasons for switching from Java to
the Windows User Control is to reduce the amount of the time spent maintain

When designing a new form or report, the Default ForeColor is often
something like -2147483640 which is the colour of Windows text (possibly
black) and the default backColor is -2147483643 (possibly white)
Can anyone tell me how to convert these colours to either RGB colours or the
Long number used by Access. Black is 0 and White is 16777215

I have an application that uses the Ax web browser object. When I call the
IHTMLElement.click() method on an input button (<input type="submit"> or
<input type="button">), the click fires appropriately, if I'm running it
from a windows forms based application.
However, when I run the EXACT same code under a windows service, either as a
logged in user or as the local system account, the click fails to process.

I have a VB windows forms application that accesses a Microsoft Access

application is being deployed using No-Touch deployment. The objective
in utilizing this new deployment method is to reduce the maintenance

I'm having trouble with PHP & PostgreSQL/OpenLDAP/Apache on Windows.
I've set this up countless times on BSD (piece of cake) but I'm trying
to do this on Windows now so that my developer can work on her local
machine.
Everything looks pretty good. OpenLDAP/cygwin works great. PostgreSQL
works great. Apache runs. PHP runs.

On occasion I want to open hyperlinks (images, etc.) in a new window. In the
past, I've used target="_blank" to open the link in a new window. However,
using the "target" attribute causes my pages to fail validation (strict
doctype). The validator says "There is no attribute 'target'.."
So...how do I open a link in a new window, without Javscript, and pass
strict validation?
