I get a UNC path input from user. I need to map local path to this UNC path
and vice versa
Is there any simple way to do it in .NET?

Hi there, In web.xml, I know it's possible to do path mapping: <path-mapping url-pattern="/aaa/*" real-path="C:\TEMP\"/> So a call to myserver.com/mywebapp/aaa will redirect to c:\temp. Is it possible to do the same but with a URL?

Hi, Is it possible to create a network-drive at the SYSTEM-level? E.g.: map X: to \\server1\share so a windows service can reach X: without having to log on? I want a Windows .NET service to collect files from a UNIX-share (mapped to X:) that is exposed to windows using Hummingbird-software. Leo.

Hoping someone can help. I've setup several FTP shares on IIS 5, where some of the shares are located on another computer, while other directories are on the local computer. Is there a function similar to server.mappath that I can use to return the physical path of a FTP virtual directory using ASP? For example, I have a virtual directory called TestA located at

I'm trying to find a way to add a whildcard application mapping to aspnet_isapi.dll in IIS programmatically.... been looking into IIS administrator reference but didn't find the right function to use. The equivalent GUI steps would be, open IIS, select my application->properties, app configuration, in whildcard application mapping type the path to aspnet_isapi.dll. Thanks, Jingmei Li

Any recommendations on the best way to map paths? require('./library/include/file1.php'); works well for files in the root folder, but for files in another folder, I need to rewrite the path to the files, and sometimes when testing things on my personal system, they work there, but fail when uploaded to the website. Using the root... require('/library/include/file1.php);

I am actually trying to get the UNC path of the main module of a process running from a mapped drive, and I am trying to do this from a service. The ProcessModule class only provides the full path with the mapped drive letter, but the drive letter refers to the drive mapping for the user that started the process, and cannot be resolved to a UNC path from a service running under LocalSystem. Presumably, therefore, I need to get the drive...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
