UIP Application Block Question

I'm trying to get my feeble old mind around the UIP App Block. I
understand that:

- A User Interface consists of a set of UI processes
- A UI process consists of a number of views

Is it true that each process will have one controller, one nav graph
and one state object? Or is state shared between processes?

Thanks,
Bryan

I am in the process of converting some web apps to implement the ADO application block. I have a copy the the applications on a local development server, in which I have successfully installed and referenced the application block classes. From this point the app goes to a staging server, in which I do not have access to anything but the virtual directory that the application is installed. Hi all, I have a question regarding the configuration in the MS provided UI Process Application Block. I have a feeling that the UI application block itself has the session state (task) management designed as a fundamental part of the block. Is there anyway for me to actually turn the sessionState in web.config to mode="Off" to turn off the sessionState in the UI Processing Application block?. The reason why I want to

I have an application where I would like to block waiting on an asynchronous event and still process messages. I can implement a hard loop to block such as: Do While StillWaiting Application.DoEvents Loop In this case the asynchronous thread can just set StillWaiting=False when complete.

Does the new async features within asp.net 2.0 and ado.net 2.0 render the async application block (1.1) extinct? What would be the advantages of using the async application block with 2.0? Seems like a lot less code can be written using 2.0 that threads safely and quickly.

I was just wondering if anyone else may have incorporated the original Microsoft Exception Management Application Block (EMAB) or Data Access Application Block (DAAB) into one of their applications when the blocks were frist released several years ago? In the process of trying to upgrage an application to CLR 2.0, I thought it would make sense to also get the latest application blocks. The are now called the Enterprise Library...

How do I integrating ASP.NET Tracing with the Enterprise Library Logging Application Block? I guess this should be possible and in a similar way to the way ASP.NET Tracing is integrated with System.Diagnostics Tracing as described in http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b0ectfxd(VS.80).aspx. But I would have thought this is something most ASP developers using the Logging Application Block would want to do and therefore I expected to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
