I am reading and setting a cookie using JavaScript in the BODY onload
and onunload events respectively. This works fine.
However when I use ASP to set the cookie under some condition where I
want to override the last value set in the onunload event, it has no
effect. The next onload still has the old value.
Any ideas? The following code simulates the problem I experience.

Hi,
I've been having problem writing a cookie. Everything goes ok but when I
supply the .Path property to "/" It just write the cookie when there is no
cookie present, but when I try to update the cookie (or overwrite the cookie)
it doesnt change it.
My requirement to supply the path to "/" because ASP.NET reads it. If I
write the cookie without supplying the path, the ASP.NET pages are unable to
read the cookie.

When I reference document.cookie, there is a long string of key=value;
pairs listed. I may have 100 hundred cookies on my hard drive.
However, most only have one key=value pair. Does the document.cookie
variable combine all cookie key=value pairs?
All of the examples I've seen discuss referencing a specific cookie. I
don't see how this is done.
Cookies are usually named by the domain. If I want to reference a
specific cookie, do I...

I have a pdf form that is submitting to an asp 3.0 page. I am setting a
cookie value at login time that I need to access in this processing page. For
some reason, the cookie is not being detected on that particular page but is
being detected on other pages on the same server when I test for it. This
problem only occurs on the processing page when I post to it from the form.
If I navigate to it directly, the cookie is detected. This is...

I'm currently using ASP.NET with VS2003 and SQL Server 2003. The ASP.NET app
i have made is running on IIS v6 and consists of a number of pages that allow
the user to read information from the database into classes, which are used
throughout the application. I have made class collections which, upon reading
from the DB, create an instance of the class and store the DB values in
there temporarily. My problem is that if user1 looks at...

Hey, I recently bought "The Javascript and DHTML Cookbook" by Danny
Goodman.
I'm at Chapter 1, part 1.9 "Reading and Writing Strings for Cookies"
and was just interested in a utility function that grabs a cookie
value:
function getCookieVal(offset) {
var endstr = document.cookie.indexOf (";", offset);
if (endstr == -1) {

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
