vb6 DTPicker on an ActiveX hosted on a .NET Winform

Hi,

We are encountering a problem with the DTPicker. This is the situation:

We have a DTPicker-control on a VB6 Active-X.
The Active-X is used on a .NET winform.

the problem:
The .Net winform is:
1. instantiated
2. Showed modally (ShowDialog)
3. Hidden (this.Hide)
4. Again shown modally (ShowDialog)

Result: after the second ShowDialog, the DTPickers are shown on the active-x
that resides on the winform, but they are *kinda* broken. (No
up-down-buttons no more, it isn't possible to enter anything into it and
every call to the DTPicker results in an error saying: "An error occurred in
a call to the Windows Date and Time Picker control")

Does anyone have an explaination for this behaviour?

regards,
someone

I need to be able to allow users to drag files to a list box on a web page. To this end, I created a Windows Control and hosted it in a WebForm. When the file is dropped onto the listbox, the path of the file is truncated down to 8.3 format (with the ~1 at the end). When the Windows control is hosted in a windows form (for testing purposes) the full path is displayed. Is there some setting that will allow the full path to be displayed...

I need a little help here please. I have 2 win forms user controls in 2 different projects that I'm hosting in 2 different virtual directories. The controls have been test and operate okay in both projects. Both controls(dlls) have been signed using SN.exe and I've set up the appropriate .Net assembly permissions using those Strong Names The DLL's have been copied to the /bin directory in both web virtual directories.

I'm integrating some software from different vendors with a winform hosted in IE, so I don't have control over the source... Here are the symptoms: A Test program with a winform exe calling the same ActiveX control runs in 5 seconds The same winform hosted within IE using an <object> tag takes 2 minutes to load and then call the ActiveX control via interop.

I have an ActiveX component that I want to use in a library that I am writing. As a first test I used the ActiveX component in a windows form application. Adding the component created: Ax.dll .dll I can not call the functions in the ActiveX component. In the next step I tried to use the ActiveX component in a class library. I simply added a reference to the corresponding COM component. This this only

Hi, everyone I'm building an Access DB system using VBA. I have a ActiveX DTPicker so the user can select a date. This date is put in another textbox that is bound to a table. I do this because if I make the DTPicker bound to the table then the date keeps changing to the current date (or the date that was last selected) when I scroll through the records on the form. I just made the DTPicker so small that only the dropdown arrow is visible...
