The appended program freaks python 2.2 & 2.3 completely out. To
reproduce the wierdness: i) copy the source to a file called
consarn.py ii) $ python consarn.py; iii) the program is now doing a
getch(); iv) hit a key; v) the program locks up, the interptreter is
now munching on the CPU; vi) kill the interpreter from another shell;
vii) scratch head and wonder why neither of the mutually exclusive
clauses in the _io() member function...

I've been experiencing some (reproducable) wierdness when I try to generate
some very basic HTML using ASP. Check out the following (basic) ASP code:

Const STRING_1 = "/admin/UploadProgress2.asp"
Const STRING_A = "AXFFile" %>
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

Hello,
I have a situation with MS Access 2000 in which I need to display report
data in spreadsheet orientation (much like a datasheet view for a form). If
you think of the report in terms of what a spreadsheet might show, the
column names will actually be dynamic, based on data from a SQL Server 2000
database. The row data will also come from the same database. So in this
case, I will have a main report and a subreport. I've already tried...

The following code does not work correctly on my machine. Either one of the
scanf()'s alone work perfectly. However, when they are combined, the second
scanf() call just reads what the first one received as imput, without
taking any keyboard input and then the process terminates prematurely. I
looked through the glibc documentation trying to figure out what was
causing this to no avail, so I started messing around with the code.
Strangely...

Hello,
I'm having some wierdness with a report I've created in VB.NET (with Crysal
Reports).
The report is called repCPDocSubmissionSummary.vb
I created it a while ago, and have been using it successfully for months.
Today I went in and did some edits, saved and closed it.
Then, when I tried to build my project, I kept getting an error about
ambiguous name (repCPDocSubmissionSummary).
I looked in the folder, and saw there was a...

I am looking for Access reporting add-in that would be easy to use by
end users. My key focus is on selection criteria. I am very happy with
the Access report writer capabilities. As far as development of
reports, it is certainly fine in my book.
But for end-users, with little experience or training, it would be nice
to have an easy way to handle various selection criteria, perhaps with
relatively stock reports. I see easy to use by...

Hi,
I have a report that works just fine.
Now I would like to add the capability to choose selection criteria to
limit what is displayed. I created several reports that do this, but
they used VBA to create SQL statements, then apply them. Now that I
have been using Access/VBA for awhile, I am wondering if there is a
simpler way to do this than coding these long sql statements.
My report has a query as its record source. Can I just...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
