Hi,

This is somthing that I had to look into a couple of years ago.

I'm not aware of any easy way of doing this without a 3rd party component.
I believe the PDF specifications are 'open', so I guess in theory you could
write your own PDF generator, but it would be one hell of a task!

There are quite a few tools and components on the market, some pretty cheap,
that should be able to help. I can't remember any of the top of my head, but
a quick Google should give you plenty to start off with.

Actually, one that I looked at that was pretty good was called somthing like
'Amyuni PDFCreator'

Regards,

Chris.

No, you need at least a component by instance from Adobe or AFAIK form
9rays-net

I hope this helps,

Greetings,
I guess the best way to convert a word document to pdf without using third
party components will be to print the word document to the Adobe PDF printer
device that installs itself along with the Adobe acrobat professional.

best,
Subin Kushle.

Hi all, I was always told that the conversion of Word files to HTML as done by Word itself sucks - you get a lot of unnecessary code that can influence the design on web browsers other than Internet Explorer. Our computer expert in my company had told me already a while ago that I should learn HTML and encode myself. I was never inclined to do so (I am no computer expert), and when upon his suggestion I looked how my pages (converted to...

I'm working with a database developed by an untrained person over several years - and on a network that has recently been upgraded with a new server installed and MS office upgraded from 2K (I think - it might have been XP) to 2003. The database is impressive, both in what it does and the obtuse and inconsistent ways it works. There are several hundred queries, for example, with no indication of where they are used or if they are in fact...

Hello, I have a program that I originally wrote in VB6 that breaks down plain-text Profit & Loss reports from my organization's Accounting system into separate files for each Cost Center (office or section). I post the output files on our local intranet web site for the managers to access. The brain surgeons at our headquarters reformatted the original reports so they don't fit on normal 8.5 x 11 inch paper. So, I wrote another little...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
