Stop a search in Visual Studio

Doing a "Find in Files" in Visual C# - results going to a results window.
For long searches, is there a way to stop it from continuing the search?

Jeff,
If you use "Find in Files" a second time, the Stop button will be enabled
allowing you to stop the search.

Hope this helps
Jay

Hello All, I am developing a page which has a complex layout. This layout cannot be made using VS alone, so I have to go into the html view and edit the html myself. The problem is that everytime I save the file, (or add/remove any component to the page) VS.Net reformats and re-edits the whole page. I find this very irrating because VS.Net totally disorganizes my code.

I'm using Visual Studio to build ASP.Net pages and I'm trying to be standards compliant by using XHTML. In my page I create valid XHTML such as: <ul> <li>first list item</li> <li>second list item<br /> includes a line break</li> </ul>

Dear experts, I tried to compose a French page with user controls. I realized that French words would not be displayed correctly if I directly use Latin characters, such as è. Instead, after I changed them to (&e grave;) and the simliar, French words could be displayed correctly. The problem is: when I switched back from HTML View to design view in Visual Studio, the Visual Studio would automatically convert (&e grave;) back to è.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
