I implemented the simplest of splash screens ( static and on its own thread ). But it seem that when first called maybe 8 seconds elapsed before it showed up, the main form follows several seconds later.
Naturally recalling the application, the response is adequate
I have 10 classes in my project. Some small, none really huge. And another form

Can someone look at this and tell me why, when I call this from my main app,
it displays fine (fades form in and out) but then before my main app
displays, I see other dialog boxes flash monentarily on the screen and this
delays the main app display?
Here is the fade which I compile to a dll and call from my main app:

timer reaches it's Interval of 1000, I want it to load
the next form in my project. My brother knows VB6 from

I am trying to create a custom setup project.
I know this is very silly, but want to know what is the best way so that
when I start my setup I should see a splash form and then my main setup form.
Shall I have a controller class which will display the splash form and then
it will display the main form.
But how do I wait in my controller class until my splash form is done

In a new project I'm creating, I have my first form that loads being used as
a splash screen, with a timer that activates after 5 seconds. I then want
the main form to load. However, it isn't allowing me to use frmMain.Load().
What can I use to load the main form, then unload the splash screen? Or
should I, perhaps, load an invisible control form that first loads the

Hi
I have created a splash form with no border. When I try to open this form in
my main form using DoCmd.OpenForm "Splash", , , , , acDialog, the splash
form opens with a form border. If I use DoCmd.OpenForm "Splash" then splash
form opens without a border as desired but then the main form starts to
appear before splash form has gone.
How can I get the splash form to open without a border?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
