errors loading dotnet

Win2000 machine
Purchased Autocad 2006 full version.
Installation of Autocad went ok, but when trying to launch Autocad, it gives
a fatal error.
Dotnet error 2908.
Saying that dotnet needs to be installed.
Tried installing dotnet; unable to, it says "internal error".
How do I get dotnet installed without errors?
It seems like a registry glitch somewhere.
Any clues?

Thanks in advance!

I am not the most talented programmer to grace the earth by a long shot. But I've got a gripe I need to air about the .NET implementaion of Visual Basic. I can live with alot of the major changes to the structure and syntax of the code but I thought the purpose of re-engineering the damn thing would result in improved performance all around, well the .NET seems to really suck doing things graphically on forms that VB6 Seemed to do fine....

Hello. My new dev machine is running XP Pro. In the past all equipment has only used Windows 2000. I have had a lot of problems getting my projects up and running on the new machine. The current one is a permission error. The project is a VC++ Web Service. It works fine when the service is hosted on the old W2K dev machine, but on the new XP machine I get a permission error when the service tries to open a text file on the Windows...

Is there a way to see constraint validation errors while loading xml into a DataSet ? I'm interested in the line number in the xml file which is causing the error. I've enclosed the relevant stack trace below. at System.Data.DataSet.FailedEnableConstraints() at System.Data.DataSet.EnableConstraints() at System.Data.DataSet.set_EnforceConstraints(Boolean value)

I was working on a project and everything was going fine, then all of a sudden the form set as my startup object stopped loading. I tried setting some others as the startup object, and some of my forms will load and others won't. Those that won't load at startup don't load with the Show or ShowDialog command either. Can anyone give me a hint as to what went wrong?

Hi, We are using VS.Net 2003 and coding in VB.net. The solution has 38 projects; most of the projects in the solution reference other projects (without any circular references) and all the references were added to using the Projects tab on the Add Reference dialog and not by browsing to the DLL for the project. When we build or run the solution "bogus" compile errors

Hi! How do I suppress the desktop background showing through textboxes while the form is loading? This is really ugly. The textboxes look transparent while form is loading. Thanks Mike

Hi, I'd like to store X509 cetificates in a central location (file server, database, etc), and load them when needed, is it practical ? and in term of implementation, can this be achieved by subclass 'securityTokenManager'? has anyone done something similar and shed some lights on it? thanks, -Jason

Hello, As anyone knows, before starting up a .Net application, parts of the ..Net framework must be loaded in memory. Therefore, starting this application can last for quite a few seconds (especially on slow computers). Is there anything you can do to show the user the framework is loading? Many programs have a 'loading'-window, to show the user the program is loading. Is this possible? Some users think the program is not starting,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
