Why AfxGetApp() returns NULL in Vc 7.1?

I use AfxGetApp() in my Add-in application as follows.

AfxGetApp()->LoadIcon(IDI_I CON);
AfxGetApp()->BeginWaitCurso r();
AfxGetApp()->EndWaitCursor( );
AfxGetApp()->PumpMessage( )

It works well in Vc 6.0. However, AfxGetApp() returns NULL after I convert
my project to Vc.NET.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am using Xalan 1.8.0 and Xerces 2.6.0 in C++. I have an XML document which I first transform into an other XML document using an XSL styelsheet. Then I want to parse with XPathEvaluator the new XML document. I succeed in transforming, also in parsing with the XPathEvaluator. But I can not get any nodeValue, getNodeValue() returns NULL.

Hi, I have a huge VC6 MFC project that was converted to Visual Studio 2005 beta2. After the conversion, the application crashes because AfxGetThread() returns NULL and thus fail on pThread->InitInstance() inside AfxWinMain(). I have a CWinApp derived class (e.g. CBaseWinApp) exported from a DLL. This derived class is inherited inside the main app (e.g. CDerivedWinApp : public CBaseApp) and serves as the global app.

I am using MSVC .NET to create a C program. I am having trouble creating a window. The createwindow returns NULL however no error is caught. The GetLastError() returns "operation completed successfully". So I'm not sure what the deal is. CreateWindow doesn't have to be called from the main function does it? Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
