Crystal Reports Missing?

I running with VB .Net Standard 2003 (Version 7.1.3088)
As far as I know I installed the full suite, yet I can't seem to find
Crystal Reports anywhere. Documentation says it should be included.

There is no Crystal Reports template when I try to add a new item.
When I try to repair the installation, there is no mention made of Crystal
Reports.

Was my installation bad or am I missing something else?

TIA

Hi all, I'm trying create dynamic reports by Crystal Reports engine distributed with VS.NET. I know there is only lite version without native support to do this, but I've found another way via using CRAXDDRT20 library (Crystal Reports ..NET ActiveX Designer Design and Runtime library). But I've problem with adding table by passing ADO recordset: loCRGenerator = new CRAXDDRT20.ApplicationClass();

Hi, I will be taking on a new project developing a web-based "reporting system". The first requirement I got from BI group is "we just want to look at the data". Basically, there is a huge database, and they want certain people to be able to drill down to the data they want, perhaps a few graphs here and there, and then extract selected data to an Excel file or a flat file for further analysis. As of now there are a handful of parameters...

Hi everyone, I recently wrote a vb.net app which includes some crystal reports. The user has very little money in their budget and have been without a working application for quite a while. This being the case I worked with what was available: I used vb.net and crystal 8.5. The crystal reports are being viewed in the crystal report viewer which is still included in vb.net. I went ahead with developing this project because I found that...

Hello all, I have created an ASP.NET website that uses Crystal Reports that works on the localhost (my PC), but when I copy it to the server it does not. The problem is ExcelUseConstantColumnWidth = False. On my PC when exporting a report, it works - columns are varible width to fit the field, from the server it does not - I get constant width columns. I suspect it is a DLL issue, but so far all my comparisons are coming out the same.

I'm currently developing a web application with ASP .NET 1.1. I'm using the bundled Crystal Reports in Visual Studio 2003 to create reports for this application. The system specification requires a Gantt chart inside one of these reports, and that's the problem: this version of Crystal Reports doesn't have a Gantt chart option. I know that VS 2005 ships with Crystal Reports 10 version that supports Gantt charts. I'm avoiding the...

I am brand new to using Crystal Reports and am trying to generate a report based on a custom object - in another project. I have a layered design, with all my business objects in a seperate project. I created a new project as part of the solution, added a reference to the project containing my business objects, created a datasource that points to one of the objects and then tried to create CR based on the object. The data tab (in the CR...

Hello all... I have a C# forms application that I am developing using MS Visual Studio 2005. I am trying to add some Crystal Reports to this application using the built in Crystal Reports tools with Visual Studio. It seems like it should be pretty straight forward, but no matter what I do I can't get my reports to actually show data. Here's the info: I created a crystal report viewer on a form. I created a crystal report that has a data...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
