Is there anyway to hold the base.WndProc(ref m) until after the Logout()
function finishes loading a webpage??
I'm working on shutting down an app that runs in the system tray, I have no
problems shutting down, but I have problems saving data first.
if the base.WndProc(ref m) is placed at the top, it closes, but the system
does not continue to shutdown and it does not save the data via the Logout()
funtion.
If the base.WndProc(ref m)...

I have a program that sits in the system tray and spawns off a number of sub
processes.
For some reason, when this is running on a system, Windows will not shutdown
without manually shutting it down.
Is there some way within my code that I can pick up that Windows wants to
shut down and then do an orderly shutdown of the processes?
Thanks in advance

Is there any way to disable being able to shut down a program totally? I
would have to allow it to be closed when the computer is shutting down or the
user is logging out, but other than that it can't shut down no matter what.
Can anybody give me any suggestions? I'd like to use c# but moreover I just
need some direction in where to go with this..
Somebody had suggested to me to make a service that monitors the app running
as a user on a...

Hi,
I have a problem with Application.Run() when Windows is shutting down.
Please have a look at the copy&paste example program below.
The application has no forms. It has only got a notify icon in the
system tray and it uses Application.Run() to keep the message loop
running. When the user clicks the icon, the application should shut down
and exit. So far that works fine.

Is there an easy way to disable the hotkey sequence Control F4 or otherwise
prevent the action from killing off MDI child windows in VS05/WinForms 2?
I've already figured out how to get rid of the 'x' in the caption bar but
the hot key sequence is still allowing users to kill off MDI child windows,
which I need to prevent from happening.

Event message: Application is shutting down. Reason: Hosting environment is
shutting down.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
