Monitoring App timeout Auto Close

I have a vb.net application that used a web service to communicate with
a SQL server. I have IIS pool set up to reload after 30 min of idle. I
want to warn the user that we are going to be logging them out of the
system and give them a change to cancel the logout.
I need a way to monitor my app and see if it is being used. Also have
an msgbox what can cancel the logout.

Thanks all
Mike

I would like to make a user report automatically close after it has been left open in preview mode for more than 1 hour. I don't see a timer control or timer event in the report properties. Is there some way to make a report auto-close (time-out) in MS Access? -- Posted via http://dbforums.com

hi, I have a web app with forms authentication and a timeout session of 20 mins for security reasons. I recently added a feature that allows users (if they want to) to automatically log in (without entering username and password) using the cookies. Now in this case the 20 mins session timeout has no meaning anymore so I m thinking to make...

I thought I was doing a simple thing, here -- asking a server for a text document, getting the first 150 lines, and then returning the lines. But I keep getting timeout errors: "Exception Details: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed-out." I read somewhere that generally these errors come from not closing a HTTPWebResponse...

I have an ASP.NET application which my company sells comercially. We license on a concurrent user model, but we currently rely on the "honor" system for the customers to give us their best guess as to the maximum number of concurrent users they will need. We do this because, so far, we have not been able to come up with any mechanism for...

If I add the code for user to download the file (e.g. if(File.Exists(FILE_NAME)){......}), the ASP.NET will give the following timeout error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. It seems that the download file code is executing before letting the previous code...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
