Hello All,
I have been working on this for almost a week now and I haven't anything up
my sleeves anymore that I could test in addition or change....
Since I am not sure, if this is a Windows 2003 Server or ADO or ODBC issue,
I am posting this on all of the three newsgroups.

I have written a Windows Service that watches a Lotus Notes InBox for emails,
detaches attachments from the emails and attaches them to a different Lotus
Notes Database.
The service works properly until I log off of the server. At that point,
this call begins returning nothing - not an error - just nothing...
LnView_Mail = LnDb_Mail.GetView("($InBox)")
Once this problem begins, logging back into the server does not resolve it.

Help me please, I'm totally stuck!
My Visual Studio 2003 debugger stopped working after I installed
Windows XP Service Pack 2. Here is what happens (with any project,
even a "Hello, world" message): the first time I open a project and
try to start it in debug mode, Visual Studio hangs before executing
the first line of code. The only way to stop it is to kill the process
using the Task Manager.

I am having yet another issue with Windows Server 2003. This time, the web
service (a file import web service) appears to run except for one odd
message: "ActiveX component can't create object". There are no other
statements to indicate what object cannot be created. Otherwise, everything
on the test Windows Server 2003 works fine—all import data updates correctly.
Unfortunately, my normal development environment is not Windows...

kept on the network drive. If I run the code as a Windows Application I can

Hello,
I have a problem with our OnlineBackupService.exe. This is a Windows Service
which is built in .Net 1.1 and basically grabs files from the file system and
will try to upload them using WebServices.
The service is installed by default using LocalSystem account. The exact
problem is that sometimes this service is not allowed to resolve the target
webservice. This results in the following exception:

Why do I need to rename my project to the service name?
Why do I need to set the "ServiceName" property to my service name?
Why do I need to set a property within my code to the service name?
Are all these required or am I just doing this for consistency purposes?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
