Hi all,
I have an application (number of web Services) in which I define different
application variables, like application etc. Besides that, I have
a couple of assemblies containing classes and STATIC methods used by those
web services. I can't find any way to access my application variables from
those methods definde in the external assemblies.

How to terminate a blocked thread?
In my form's "load" I launch a TCP listening thread that stays in an
infinite loop waiting for incoming TCP packets. In this form's "closing" I
try to terminate this thread by calling the "Abort" funcion. But the thread
does not terminate and after the form is closed this thread keeps running at
blocked state. Basically the application keeps running because this thread
does not terminate while...

Hello,
I have an application that has several threads and non-blocking
client sockets.
When I try to terminate the program, although the application window
disappear, but the program instance is still here. When I run it in debug
mode, "Stop debugging" button is still enabled. When I compile it and run
it, the program is still listed in "Process" in the Task Manager.

I'm testing VS 2005 Beta 2, and I've compiled a program that
runs just fine on my computer (where VS is installed).
I've tried to run this same program on another computer
(after having installed MS .NET Framework 2.0 Beta 2 on it,

Hi
I have an external assembly which I call from a windows forms
application. What I want to do is terminate the calling application
from within the assemnly - or otherwise ensure that the calling
application has terminated before the code in the assembly starts
executing. Anyone know how I would do this?

I have a C# logging assembly with a static constructor and methods that is
called from another C# Assembly that is used as a COM interface for a VB6
Application. Ideally I need to build a file name based on the name of the
VB6 application. A second choice would be a file name based on the # COM
interface assembly. I have tried calling Assembly.GetCallingAssembly() but
this fails when I use the VB6 client. Is there a way to get this...

I need to call an old C DLL from my Web Service. This in itself is
fine and I am able to do this no problem. My issue is that I need to
call the DLL thousands of times, and it has memory leak and memory
corruption problems, so after a while it dies with a memory corruption
error. I donot have the option of fixing the memory leak, so I need
to come up with a solution.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
